Paediatric Screening for Hearing and Large Motor Skills
This month we once again ran our preschool screening Project where Melbourne University audiology and physiotherapy students test children from Bayside for their hearing and large motor skills. This is a free opportunity for the children of Bayside under the age of 6 Years.
The Bayside City Council manages the booking and advertising, and Hampton Primary School provides the premises.
The students have the opportunity of assessing and interacting with small children, under the supervision of their lecturers. Melbourne University is also keen to have their students involved in community work, especially working with an age group which is not readily available. Hampton Rotary volunteers manage the day.
We are very lucky to have such generous support from so many people. This enables an outcome which shows there is a definite need within our community.
