Community Grants - Presentations
On Tuesday 30th April 2019 two recipients of Community Grants spoke about the projects which had been facilitated by their grants.
Hampton Life Saving Club has supported 5 years of Starfish Nippers. It is a modified program for young individuals aged between 5 and 18 years (or thereabouts) with special needs.
Starfish Nippers aims to provide a water and beach safety and awareness program. Activities include: beach exercise, beach games, water familiarisation, swimming, beach and water activities and safety education. The program includes swimming, board skills, surf awareness, kayaking, lots of games, and many other exciting activities.
Riding for the Disabled Association Australia (RDAA) is a voluntary, non-profit organisation which provides opportunities for anyone with a disability to enjoy safe, healthy stimulating, therapeutic, horse-related activities in Australia.
Noel Susay from Buxton Real Estate presented community grant cheques to Starfish and RDA. These community grants are made possible through the generous sponsorship by Buxton Real Estate.
