From the President

Last month I spoke about our community consultation that we planned to start at the September Bayside Farmers Market - we had a fantastic response and greatly appreciate how willing people were to participate in the survey.

We gained new ideas on how to get information on Rotary’s work out to the community, strong support for continuing our project with the Rotary Club of Brighton North on youth mental health training and suggestions to consider under our community grants program.

We plan to run the consultation at the next market on 22 October and I look forward to more great conversations with you.

Regards

Amanda

COMMUNITY PROJECTS

September Bayside Farmers’ Market

The sun was shining, everyone was in holiday mood, and the Grand Final was soon to kick-off…so what a great way to start the weekend at the Bayside Farmers Market. We had a fantastic turnout so it was great to see so many families and friends getting together and enjoying everything the market has to offer – fresh produce, yummy treats, hot coffees, live music and fabulous beachside setting. Thank you to all the stallholders and volunteers for ensuing another fabulous market.

At this September market, Hampton Rotary raised funds from the entry donations for Pakistan Flood Relief. 33 million people have been affected by the floods, so thank you to everyone who donated generously at the market.

We look forward to seeing everyone again for the October Market.
