Tiffany Johnson, survivor from the 1999 Swiss Canyoning Disaster
Tiffany is a survivor from the 1999 Swiss Canyoning Disaster where 21 young people lost their lives. It was the largest natural disaster in Switzerland's history and the largest number of deaths of Australian's on foreign soil outside of war times, at the time the disaster happened. An international memorial site has been created next to the Saxtenbach Gorge in Switzerland and has been maintained over the last 20 years by Rotarians.
