Lorraine will be enticing you to enjoy the new Hampton History Walk produced by Sandringham & District Historical Society Inc, with a sneak preview of the route, and some of the special places of interest. History, architecture, sculpture and stained glass treasures are revealed along the walk.
Local identity Graeme Disney and other members of the Society familiar with the history of Hampton have ensured that the tour includes all the important places. Local member Di McDonald, a retired historian and teacher, has researched and written the text and Lorraine, an architectural historian, has written the architectural components. Erin West a graphic designer and the Society's youngest member has presented the walk in a superb layout.
The walk will be available as printed copies, thanks to the Rotary Club of Hampton’s generous donation, as well as a downloadable pdf on the Society's website www.sandringhamhistorical.org.au and as an audio tour on the app ROAMNI.
Lorraine is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Hampton, founder and director of Heritage Intelligence Pty Ltd and President of the Sandringham & District Historical Society Inc.
